Yearly Cohorts
Small group dive into transference, countertransference, reflective function and psychodynamic psychotherapy
Dr. David Puder is thrilled to introduce this specialized Teaching Cohort, designed to sharpen your psychotherapy skills.
Grounded in psychodynamic principles, the program emphasizes building strong therapeutic alliances, boosting reflective function, skillfully navigating transference and countertransference, and mastering common factors in therapy. It's ideal for mental health professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and trainees—eager to establish or enhance a psychotherapy-focused practice.
Program Details
Format: 2-hour interactive didactic sessions with group discussions, led by Dr. David Puder, Dr. Jeremiah Stokes, or Dr. Allie Riegevia Zoom.
Dates: September 12, 2026 - May 22, 2027 (approximately 33 sessions, around 66 hours total; adjusted for major holidays—full schedule provided upon acceptance).
Cohort Size: Limited to 13 participants to ensure personalized discussions and meaningful peer interactions.
Homework: Each week, a question or prompt will be posted in a shared google document that invites a reflective response, please plan to spend time each week writing a response.
