Dr. Stokes is one of the most highly sought out and competent clinician teachers I know. He has been in practice for fifteen years, and we have been sharing cases for over a year on our weekly walks. He oversees a large group in town and I often share patients with him. He treats patients over their entire lifespan in individual, marriage, and family therapy, and puts in sometimes 60 hours of client time per week (I am working as a friend to help him cut that down!). He has a particular talent for helping families through high conflict divorce and uses reunification therapy. This process is incredibly complex because the estrangement could be attributed to several factors including trauma, dysfunctional attachments, parental alienation, legal issues and substance abuse. He has surpassed the 10k hour threshold to become an expert, with over 30k clinical hours.
